Frequently Asked Questions

Is everyone eligible for a plan?

Everyone is eligible for Colorado health insurance, regardless of your credit history or your history of past medical problems. You will not be refused as long as you are able to pay your premiums. Obviously, if you have better credit, you may be eligible for a cheaper plan.

Does my doctor require a policy?

Depending on what doctor that you go to, some offices require that you have a policy in order to be treated. Hospitals however will not refuse treatment to you. The best way to make sure that you are covered by the doctor is to call and ask ahead of time if they accept your policy.

How much do I need?

The more protection you have, the less out of pocket cost you will need to pay in case of an emergency. You can determine how much you would like depending on your financial situation and how much you can afford per month. Also, if you know that you are prone to emergencies and are often in the need of medical attention and sick all the time, you may want to consider a high amount of coverage to make sure you are always covered.

What type of doctors' bills will my plan look after?

Your policy includes any type, from your normal family doctor to your gynecologist to your dentist and obstetrician. There is no question that whatever type of medical professional that you receive treatment from, you will be financially covered by your policy and will be left with only a co-pay to pay the office.
